另一方面，我国矿产资源虽然丰富，但是由于人口数目过多，人均占有量少，而且贫矿多，富矿少，矿产资源的利用率低，一些并生矿产不能合理利用，因此，很大程度上造成了资源的浪费。
因此，在开发矿产资源的同时，一是要注意控制污染物的排放，减少对当地的土地资源、水资源（尤其是地下水）的污染，同时，要注意对矿区的绿化和还原，保护当地的土地资源。并且要提高科技水平，提高资源的利用率，减少资源的浪费。
矿产开采出来，被人们利用，给人们造福。
